Fumino Hora was born and educated
in Tokyo, Japan. She came to Hong Kong in 1994 and
started her art career in Hong Kong as a water-colourist. She has held a number
of exhibitions in the past years. The annual exhibitions were held in The
Aberdeen Marina club in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and November 2001, and
all of them were very successful. Her paintings have been chosen and donated to
The Society for the Relief of Disabled Children" as the Christmas
cards design for 1997, 1998 and 2000. Although she is well known for her
landscapes, portraits and floral paintings, people would see her
main interest is focused on typical Hong Kong street scenes.
Before and after the Hand-over she has contributed her energy to paint the
ordinary people's life in Hong Kong. Her work has been collected locally
